I thought about rantling on the pointless nature of Daylight Saving Time and how it’s stupid and pointless and you can’t cut an hour off of one end of the day and stitch it back on the other side thinking you’ll have a longer day. Also, I think it’s safe to say most of the world doesn’t use it. Time to stop doing it.
When told the reason for Daylight Saving time the old Indian said, “Only a white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of a blanket and have a longer blanket.” – Author Unknown
Then, I thought about talking about my eye exam this morning, which went well. Not much of a change in vision though the prism in my right lens needs to be strengthened. After a few hits to the head, my wandering right eye needs a touch more help in preventing double vision. I also got the lecture about buying glasses from online, that the quality was horrible, etc. Eh. I’m still going to give it a try.
Next, I considered writing about the photo shoot I’ll have on Wednesday, but I’ll leave it a surprise. I feel like I’ll be packing everything including the “kitchen sink” for this shoot. I also get to see my Mom and I have an invitation for lunch from another photographer I’ve worked with a lot. Awesome!
And that is… well… it’s all I have today. I might go outside and take pictures today too with all the flooding we have going on. We got a lot of rain yesterday and combined with the melting snow, we’re surrounded by flooding. I love this time of year with all the opportunities to go play in the water and direct where it’s going. Honestly – that’d be a good topic to blog about.
Now, it’s time for my Spanish lesson.
We actually find DST to be very productive for us as it allows us to get many more things done outside this time of year after our normal work day.
I agree that if you have a day job that has you away from home all day – the “extra” hours at the end of the day are a boon. For me? Eh – I really don’t find a benefit to it other than the fact that it’s National Napping Day – and I got in a nap this afternoon.
LOL !!! Here in Oklahoma we have far more opportunity outside than you do in Wisconsin, at least this time of year. As far as the napping goes, that’s exactly what my Wisconsin girl is doing as I write this…….must be that northern heritage 🙂 Whatever it is, I have found northern ladies are a lot of fun !
LOL We try to be!
