If you could rewrite the ending of one movie, which would you choose?  What would the new ending be?

This is just a bad question for me.  Why?  Well, mostly it’s because it’s the rare movie that sticks in my head for any length of time.  Movies with memorable lines and likable characters stick in my head.  Movies like Ghostbusters, Moonstruck, When Harry Met Sally, Star Wars.

*GASP*  I just thought of a movie!  Star Wars, Episode I:  The Phantom Menace.  I would have killed off the character Jar Jar Binks right after his first line.  I know that’s not the ending of the movie, but the sooner Jar Jar’s “life” was ended the better; then we wouldn’t have had to suffer through him for the rest of the movie OR the next two films.  I hope whomever came up with that character was fired… or at least never is able to live that one down.

Board meetings where someone tosses out a bad idea can be countered with, “Oh yeah?  Well at least I didn’t come up with Jar Jar Binks!  ‘Me-sah so sorry!'”  End of debate.  Worst character in Star Wars… EVER.
