A Christmas Gift

Anyone who walks into my house may notice a basket filled with yarn nearly straight in from the front door.  My Mom is an avid knitter (she started when she was 8 years old) but I picked up crocheting.  I have often made myself hats, scarves and blankets, but once in a while I get on to making something for someone else.  DH and I had a new nephew born a few months before Christmas and though I’m a creative procrastinator, I did manage to work up a project for the new kid on the block:  a sweater and blanket set.

I know you said you were working on a project..you hadn’t told me what it was – its terrific! Congratulations. Crocheting and knitting have much fewer calories than snacking. I’ll bet he looks adorable in this and the blanket is just the right size for dragging around everywhere. Wonder what he’ll name it….
