I would like to thank WordPress for letting me know that I have set a new record for people subscribing to my blog on Wednesday!  Thank you, WordPress.  I think it’s wonderful that I have this new record to attempt to break, and the fact that you just started to track it this month means it’s that much more special to me.

To my Readers, new and old, HELLO!!  Welcome to the Jungle!  The tangled mess of ideas, thoughts, musings and utter randomness that this blog is.  I have somewhat given up on a “schedule”… Subscribing to this blog is sort of like showing up at a restaurant that shuts down for the winter; you get what they are serving that day as they’re cleaning out the fridge and freezer and you’re going to like it (yes, there is a restaurant near my house that does that – it’s an upscale one, too).  No substitutions and no whining.

I try to post something everyday, and really I write for myself, but sometimes I write for other people.  I like to read your comments, and I try to respond to as many as I can that I think need a response.  I’m not an expert on anything, not even myself… but I’m always trying to learn something new and interesting.  So, kick back, relax, read while enjoying your favorite beverage, vote on posts, “like” them, comment on things, even if the comment is “This one SUCKED!  Were you asleep?”  I might have been… or I was awake with too much caffeine or I was awake but drinking some adult beverage.

Some days I get on a roll and churn out multiple posts and schedule them so I don’t have to think too hard for a few days.  Sometimes they are short, sometimes they ramble on.  I’ve been told my stories are good, and I’ve also been told I’m full of shit.  All true.  (I’ve also been known to pepper my writing with saltiness from time to time… you’ve been warned.)
