What an interesting thing statistics are.  Since I’ve begun this blog, my love of all things data has been sated by the pure unadulterated DATA brought forth on the statistics page.

I love seeing the searches of search terms people use that bring them to my site.  I also am quite fond of the map feature, which lists the countries of origin of my Readers.  This handy tool has shown me that I seem to be fairly popular in Romania.

Oh sure, the bulk of my visitors are from the USA, but I’d have figured my neighbor to the north, Canada, to be a close second.  How curious (and cool) to find out that it appears the number two spot goes to Romania.  Hello, Romania!!!

Incidentally one of my friendquaintences is originally from Romania.  She and her husband are outdoorsy types but sadly they moved a few states away so DH and I don’t get to see them as often as we’d like.  That little bit of knowledge also concludes my familiarity with Romania.

Well, that concludes things unless you want to start talking about Vlad the Impaler, aka Dracula.  I can divulge a bit more information, well… facts and anecdotes I’ve picked up while watching The History Channel.  He was one crazy mo-fo, but he DID have a kick-ass castle.  I also know about Romania’s knack for churning out citizens who excel in gymnastics.  Nadia Comaneci just to name one.  Simona Amanar to name another.
