Oh, I know I stole that from the song – so what? I often chuckle and say that I am on the cusp of living in a bubble. (Bubble Girl!! My new superhero persona! Who can draw that up for me?) The reason for my perceived future of living in a bubble? I am certain that I have a list as long as my arm of things I’m allergic to.
Generally speaking, I’m pretty safe, most of the time, because exposure is so low. I have covered a some of the list items in past posts, but with my super-sensitive skin, sometimes medical professionals forget important tidbits. One of these tidbits is that when the doctor prescribes you Retinol to use on your face to help with acne… you should NOT use it at the same time as using a Salicylic Acid-based product (even soap). The combination creates a chemical reaction – pretty much like what I have read a chemical peel is like. Fan of Sex and the City? You know what I’m talking about! Thankfully – I don’t look this bad (that CANNOT be comfortable!).
So there is your Skin Care Safety Tip of the day Kiddos! Do NOT mix your Salicylic Acid and Retinol together… EVER!
